Turkish Van cats looking for new home!

Hi there....

We are downsizing from our house back to an apartment and I am desperately looking to find a new loving home for my male and female adult Turkish Van Cats. They are pure white and are absolutely adorable. I am originally from Turkey and brought them with me to the United States when I was moving to Oregon. They are indoor/outdoor trained, very affectionate, smart and just plain adorable.

They are sister/brother and they lived with me since they were 2.5 months old. Therefore I do not want to separate them. They are current with their shots and are in good health.

If you are interested, please contact me at twiceblessedmommy @ verizon.net

Thank you so much!

God Bless!

Turkish Angora Cats

We were discovered by a little Turkish Angora Maine Coon mix, with more prominence to Turkish Angora. She quickly grew to be a large cat and very intriguing. Of all our cats, she is the most strange. She doesn't meow, but chortles. She never learned to use the cat door, however we're sure she's aware of its existence. Unlike our other cats, as a kitten, she was never headstrong about getting to the outdoors on her own. Instead, she prefers to be let out for a few hours at a time. She's highly curious and loves to talk to people, especially if they talk back. She's great friends with our only male (generic tiger tabby) and Maine Coon, unlike our Himalayan Persian mix, who tends to be a little hostile. Our Angora mix is highly intelligent and loves to play. Like our Maine Coon, she uses her paws a lot. She's very quirky and fun-loving.
~L.K.

View the full article

angora cat

About 5 days ago ana angora cat showed up at our door. i had seen the cat in the past but it always look as if it was just passing thru. but last thursday i just called it and it came to me and it was really affectionated or at least it seemed that way. while i was petting her i noticed that it had what looked like a wound or road rash on its tail the base to be more specific. i felt kind of sorry so i gave it some milk and noww it meows at our door every night; okay maybe that was my bad. sunday i decided to brush her hair and at the beginning it was cooperating but 20 seconds later it bit me and it had bit me before when i tried to pick it up to see if it was a he or a she. she gets scared easily, i had adopted alley cats in the past but none of them were this nervous. one thing it doesn't seem malnurished as it weights around 8 pounds. i am trying to find a new home for it as my land lady doens't like cats, but before i do that i want to have the cat be in good condition but i need to know how o deal with its attitude. he or she is really sweet and affectionated but it seems that it doesn't like to be handled and that is a problem. if i was keeping it this would not be a problem. i need some tips to help this cat. she or he ( i cannot tell as it is too fluffy and haven't had the courage to look again) is mostly white with light blue eyes her back is soft gold relly light that fades into white, when the sun hits her back this becomes really apparent.

Siamese Cats

My first ever cat was a (traditional) Siamese named Sushi, and it was love at first sight. She took to me as I took to her. She had a slightly round face with light blue eyes and a rather thick coat. We mated her with a stocky male Siamese, and we ended up with a litter of four, all of whom grew into large (compared to strays and local breeds), elegant, and solidly built cats. Two of them, Maki and Saldi, had short hair. The other two came out long-haired (!!), yet their coats never mat or tangle. Sushi and Maki kept us company, and they would happily snooze on my belly, lap, or behind my knees. Sushi is the sweeter one, who loves being carried on your shoulder, and Maki is the more mischievous one, who gets a kick out of walking on my keyboard and loves lying down smack in the middle of my sketchpad whenever I go drawing on the floor. Saldi is more athletic one, catching mice, cockroaches, and even birds and trying to jump for the dried fish on top of the fridge. These cats are just so beautiful and adorable. I hope to have another one someday, and it's definitely got to be Siamese!
Hana

View the full article

Scottish Fold Cats

I'm sure he was in a lot of pain the last several years, and gave up using the stairs about 3 years ago. He slept and was fed in the family room, loved to sleep on his big dog cushion in front of the fireplace on cool days and evenings. He is surely missed, even though I have two other Folds, one straight-eared. Thankfully, they don't have the osteo issue, and we hope to have them as long a time as we shared with our beloved Angus. Ottering and prairie dogging are distinct characteristics, and so sweet and funny to see. You will adore having a quiet and loving Fold in your home.
dianna

View the full article

She got that name because of her personality. From the moment of her birth eight weeks ago until now she has always been a special little kitten. When she was old enough to walk and run without stumbling she picked up a habit of wanting to be held when she slept and wanted most to be right up next to my chin or close to my body. She also has what appears to be a very distinct line running right down the middle of her stomach, almost like a dividing line. She looks exactly like the totie in the picture except with kitten features. A very sweet, very precious little kitten that is fast growing up to be a
joy to have around. I've never been a cat person until Charm came along but she and her jet black brother named Bear sure changed that. Bear got his name because he looks so much like a little bear cub. The only problem is, if you don't see his tail you don't know which end is which! I mention him because these two are almost inseperable.
