I was thinking about getting a BGKF, but I have 4 Dojo Loachs, and 3 Bala Sharks. Does anyone know if this would be a bad idea or do you think they would be alright? I dont want anyone of them to get killed.

I previously posted here regarding my Black Moor (a year ago) and at that time knew NOTHING about these awesome fish! I started with a 20 gallon tank and feeding koi pellets. Now Marvin is in a 44 gallon tank and is fed a mix of nori, blood worms, peas, and fish veggie flakes. I make little ice cubes with the above ingredients mixed together and defrost one at a time. Marvin is about 8 inches long with fin and without, about 5 inches. She does have discoloration on her 'butt', not sure what else to call that portion of her body? Unfortunately every time I tried to introduce a new fish, it just didn't work out. One died of fin rot and the other died of anchor worm and infected Marvin as well. At one point she had approximately 35 of those suckers!! Thank goodness she is a larger fish so my husband and I were able to tweeze them off and medicate her after the fact (melafix/salt baths). We change 25% of her water weekly and 75% about every month or so. Here is my new worry, being a fish hypochondriac, today I noticed her floating, like she is nodding off and then 'comes to' and swims or shimmies a bit and then starts to sink a little. I am sure water is good, no diet change and I cannot see any other issue but the discoloration? It is light gold, about the size of a quarter. She is a fat fish, definitely doesn't starve. Help? I wish I could put a picture up here.

I lived in Monterey Bay, CA for a while. There were tons of these along the shoreline. Why doesn't the map show them off the Californian coast? Is it a different type? Or just likely that they have been introduced into the area on purpose or accident?

My chinese crested powderpuff puppy (8 months) loves greek yougurt in her dry food (I only put 1/4 tsp with water). Will this cause any problems?

PLEASE HELP!!!! My husband and I purchased a scarlet at 4 weeks, now she is is almost two years old. She had to be put under at the vet for a test and ever since then, she literally squawks and screeches at high ear busting volumes every few minutes!!! What can we do to help her stop this?? Well, I just got a Mini Rex in September from a breeder and I have almost had her for 5 months and she is almost a year... But she has never been really friendly and I have heard that the Mini Rex is a really friendly out going breed. So have I done something??? Can anyone help me please? And she grunts at me every time I pick her up. Why does she do that?? Can anyone help me please??

I have 2 budgers a male w/blue chest,blk and wht fealther a female all white but the female seem to be in controll at all times. It seem as if the male can't eat until she lets him she even gets to the point she trys to fight him, then after a while he gets very loud w/ her an keeps turning his head back an force is he tryin to let her know he's the BOSS then they start kissin is the kissin a part of mating? Hi folks, I just recently got my Yellow Crowned Amazon I dont know what is the exact age. I just want to know and make sure that if he is a real Yellow Crowned Amazon because he got a very less yellow color on the head (comparing to the pics available on web) and rest all th ebeak color, green body with red on his shoulder are ok and identical. your kind comments may help me to identify if he is a proper breed/specie.

thanks for the tips earlier but the nuts for the birds must be raw or toasted...and one more thing i jus caught them mating i left the room while they're out for less than five min to come back and see this shall i put them in the same cage but i can't have them having babies my parents were not happy about them from the beginig what shall I do ??

I have a Lionfish and Scorpionfish in a 150 gallon (568 liter). For more then a month, everything is been alright but in the last week the Lionfish has attacked the Scorpionfish twice. Any comments on this behavior? Thanks...

Hi, my science teacher is giving me her pacu and her 20 gallon long and I have a tank for the pacu but I was thinking I could turn the tank into a reptile hang out. It is to make up for my senegal bichir eating his bettam. Could I keep 1 or 2 of these in there and if not what other lizard( that I could find) can I put in there and maybe breed???thx
